1 more Covid +ve patient die at Green Heals in last 24 hours

Jan. 8: There has been a gradual rise in the number of daily positive cases in Cachar district. In the last 24 hours, 2 deaths were reported from Cachar district. One died at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) and the other at Green Heals Hospital, Silchar. Maya Rani Kurmi (63) from Cachar tested RT-PCR positive on 1 January. She was subsequently admitted at SMCH on 2 January. The patient, however, breathed her last at 8.45 AM on 7 January, 2022. The patient was also suffering from diabetes, chronic kidney disease, hypertension and was on cardia pacemaker.

Another patient, Mira Chowdhury (84) died due to Covid-19 at Green Heals Hospital, Silchar on 7 January, 2022. She was diagnosed ARDS with severe Covid-19 pneumonia.
