1 found Covid+ve in Hailakandi & none in Karimganj on Sunday

Jan. 2: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Sunday, Hailakandi registered 01 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether has 20 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 64 RAT tests and 15 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,952 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,505 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 01 person was found positive in Hailakandi on Saturday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 354 persons were vaccinated on Sunday.

Karimganj registered no fresh COVID case on Sunday. The district has currently 14 active COVID cases, while no patients were discharged on Sunday. 330 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that no persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Saturday.
