Active cases 43 in Cachar, 4 discharged
Dec. 23: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 10.55 PM. As per the latest data, 01 person was found positive in the district on 23 December. Also, 04 patients were discharged (none from hospital & 4 from home) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 43 (31 in home isolation & 12 in hospitals). It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 01 person was detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 1,794 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no person was found positive, whereas 01 was detected positive out of 227 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,537 whereas during this phase, 20,276 patients were discharged.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 22 December to 5 PM on 23 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 23 December, there were 10 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 02 are in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
