1 found Covid-19 Positive in Cachar on 15 October

Oct. 15: On Friday, only 01 person was detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar district. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 36. This was informed by District Media Expert on Friday night. Also, 04 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 02 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 356 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas none were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 2,0,148 whereas during this phase, 19,896 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 36 active patients:

12 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
00 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
18 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 14 October to 5 PM on 15 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 15 October, there were 07 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH but 02 of them were discharged.
