Parimal Suklabaidya flags off ‘Fit India Cycle Rally’ at Irongmara
আইরংমারায় ফিট ইন্ডিয়া সাইকেল র‍্যালির সূচনা করলেন পরিমল

January 18: Following the slogan of ‘Pedal Your Way To Fitness’, Forest Minister of Assam Parimal Suklabaidya flagged off the ‘Fit India Cycle Rally’ from Irongmara High School playground on Saturday. The rally was organised by the youth volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Cachar along with the support of the student’s of Social Work Department of Assam University, Silchar.

The ‘Fit India Cycle Rally’ was organized to motivate the community people and to make them understand how cycling can help us to stay fit and happy. Before the rally, a short programme was organised in this connection by the youth volunteers where the speakers narrated various incidents to explain the basic principles of happy living. The rally went upto the gate of Rosekandy Tea Estate and then returned back to Irongmara.

Those present during the occasion were Dr M Gangabhusan, HOD Social Work Department; Mehbub Alam Laskar, District Co-Ordinator of NYK Cachar; Abhijit Deb, Principal of Irongmara High School; Aritra Dhar, General Secretary, AUSU; Prabir Bhattacharjee, GP President, Parimal Suklabaidya, Honourable Forest Minister of Assam among others.
