09 tests Covid +ve in Hailakandi on Saturday, 17 discharged & 1 death reported
The district has altogether 115 active COVID-19 cases
July 3: Hailakandi registered 09 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Of the 09 positive cases detected on Saturday, 08 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) whereas 01 person was detected positive in RT-PCR test. The district has altogether 115 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 1,486 RAT tests and 274 RT-PCR tests were done. 17 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,537 (both 1st & 2nd wave). As of now, a total of 4,002 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 14 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Friday. Till date 45 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 2 July to 5 PM on 3 July) witnessed demise of 02 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the two deceased, one of them is from Cachar, while the other is from Hailakandi . The deceased from Hailakandi was identified as:
- Nur Islam Laskar (08) from Sheralipur in Hailakandi district was admitted at SMCH on 1 July. The child, however, passed away at 7.50 PM on 2 July.
