Biggest ever one-day jump in COVID-19 cases recorded in India

June 24: The coronavirus scenario in the country appears to be quite grim. The total number of COVID-19 cases in India has increased to 4,56,183 from Tuesday’s 4,40,215 cases. This marks the biggest single-day spike with 15,968 cases in 24 hours. Meanwhile, death toll in India has reached 14,476. Out of the total cases, 1,83,022 are active cases.

As of now, 2,58,684 patients were discharged. The recovery rate stands at 56.70% in India. About 10,500 patients recovered in past 24 hours.This was stated by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on its site at 8 PM on Wednesday. Further, Delhi overtook Mumbai to become the city with highest COVID-19 caseload in the country.
