Glad to see the news of Barak Valley head quarter, Silchar, where I worked as Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry in Assam University located at Dargakona Silchar-788011.I worked in the University in capacity of Dean,faculty of Physical Science,Academic council member,Executive Coùncil members and Chairman of several functionary committee like college development committee,UGC observer in NIT,SILCHAR for conducting the Selection committee for NIT faculty recrutments process.Member of Boards of Studis in the University as well as Silchar Medical College. Chairman of UGC coaching and guiding center in AUS.
Stayed in the University from 1997 to 2012,lived in Malugram area before shift to University quarter in 2001.
Enjoyed enthusiously the Sylati-culture and pro-humane nature of that place.Still remember the beautiful food taste of Silchar including the fresh fish like Kajoli and Elish.
Last but not the least the Tea taste, beautiful Tea Gardens specially the Rooskandhi brand.Like the Gardens most.
Glad to know the appointment of Professor Kallol Pal as VC of a Bengal University.
