ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৭ নভেম্বর : ‘বন্দে মাতরম’-গানের ১৫০তম বর্ষপূর্তি উপলক্ষে শুক্রবার কাছাড়ের স্কুল, সরকারি বিভিন্ন বিভাগ ও বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহে একযোগে মুখরিত হয়ে উঠল কালজয়ী সংগীতে। কাছাড় জেলা প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত দিনব্যাপী এই উদ্‌যাপন হয়ে উঠল ঐক্য, সংস্কৃতি ও দেশপ্রেমের এক অনন্য প্রতিফলন। এ দিন সকালে এক অনুপ্রেরণামূলক আবহে তথ্য ও জনসংযোগ বিভাগের শিলচর আঞ্চলিক কার্যালয়ের স্থায়ী লাউডস্পিকারের মাধ্যমে ‘বন্দে মাতরম’ সঙ্গীতটি বাজিয়ে সূচনা হয় কর্মসূচির। শহরের নানা প্রান্তে ভেসে আসে সেই চেনা সুর, যা দেশাত্মবোধের আবহকে আরও প্রগাঢ় করে তোলে।

পরবর্তীতে জেলা আয়ুক্তের কার্যালয়ের নবনির্মিত সম্মেলন কক্ষে আয়োজিত হয় মূল অনুষ্ঠান। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন খাদ্য, গণবন্টন, ভোক্তা বিষয়ক, খনিজ এবং বরাক উপত্যকা উন্নয়ন বিভাগের মন্ত্রী কৌশিক রাই। তাঁর সঙ্গে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ধলাইয়ের বিধায়ক নীহার রঞ্জন দাস এবং কাছাড়ের জেলা আয়ুক্ত মৃদুল যাদব। এছাড়াও ছিলেন প্রশাসনের বরিষ্ঠ আধিকারিক, সরকারি কর্মচারী, শিল্পী ও অতিথিরা। সকাল ১০টায় একসঙ্গে মন্ত্র, জেলা এবং উপস্থিত কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীর কণ্ঠে একযোগে ধ্বনিত হয় “বন্দে মাতরম”। মুহূর্তেই গোটা সম্মেলন কক্ষ ভরে ওঠে দেশপ্রেমের আবেগে। এরপর বৃহৎ এলইডির পর্দায় প্রত্যক্ষ সম্প্রচার করা হয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির ভাষণ।

মূল বক্তব্যে মন্ত্রী কৌশিক বলেন, ‘বন্দে মাতরম’ কেবল একটি গান নয়, এটি ভারতবর্ষের আত্মার হৃদস্পন্দন।‘ ইতিহাসের পুনরুল্লেখ করে তিনি বলেন, ‘প্রখ্যাত সাহিত্যিক বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় ১৮৭৫ সালের ৭ নভেম্বর ‘বঙ্গদর্শন’-এ প্রথম প্রকাশ করেন এই গানটি, যা স্বাধীনতার আকাঙ্ক্ষায় উদ্বেল ভারতের কণ্ঠস্বর হয়ে উঠেছিল।” তিনি স্মরণ করেন, ‘বঙ্কিমচন্দ্রের অমর উপন্যাস আনন্দমঠ-এর মধ্য দিয়ে এই গানটি বিপ্লবের প্রতীক হয়ে ওঠে, এবং ১৮৯৬ সালে রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর প্রথমবার জনসমক্ষে এটি পরিবেশন করেন।‘

মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, “স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের দিনগুলোয় ‘বন্দে মাতরম’ ছিল আমাদের প্রেরণার আহ্বান, বাল গঙ্গাধর তিলক, লালা লাজপত রায়, ভগৎ সিং, নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর মতো মহান নেতাদের কণ্ঠে এটি ছিল বিপ্লবের ডাক। ১৯৫০ সালে ড. রাজেন্দ্র প্রসাদের নেতৃত্বে গঠিত গণপরিষদ এই সংগীতকে আমাদের জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের মর্যাদা প্রদান করে, যা আজও ভারতের আত্মপরিচয়ের প্রতীক হয়ে আছে।”

গানের ঐতিহাসিক যাত্রাপথের প্রসঙ্গে মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, “বন্দে মাতরম-এর পথচলা ভারতীয় গণতন্ত্রের বিকাশের সাক্ষী, যেখানে মতের ভিন্নতা আছে, কিন্তু অনুভূতির ঐক্য অটুট।” জেলা প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগের প্রশংসা করে তিনি বলেন, “আজকের এই আয়োজনে স্কুল, কলেজ, ও সরকারি অফিসের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ প্রমাণ করছে অসম তথা ভারতের সাংস্কৃতিক চেতনা কত গভীর। প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি ও মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মার নেতৃত্বে আমরা এক নতুন দেশাত্মবোধের নবজাগরণের সাক্ষী হচ্ছি।‘

ধলাই বিধায়ক নীহার রঞ্জন দাস ভাষণে বলেন, ‘বন্দে মাতরম’ আমাদের শিকড় ও আত্মত্যাগের অমর স্মারক। এই গান প্রতিটি ভারতীয়কে প্রেরণা জোগায় দেশগঠনের পথে নিবেদিত ও সৎভাবে কাজ করার জন্য। এটি আমাদের ঐক্যের বন্ধন, যা ভালোবাসা ও কর্তব্যবোধে আমাদের একসূত্রে গাঁথে।‘

এর আগে, সভার শুরুতে জেলা আয়ুক্ত মৃদুল যাদব বক্তব্যে বলেন, “আজকের দিনটি কাছাড়ের জন্য এক ঐতিহাসিক মুহূর্ত, যা আমাদের সম্মিলিত গর্বকে নতুন করে জাগিয়ে তুলছে। স্কুলের ছাত্রছাত্রী, শিক্ষক, কর্মকর্তা, সাধারণ নাগরিক সকলের উপস্থিতি প্রমাণ করছে, দেশাত্মবোধ আজও কত জীবন্ত। স্বাধীনতার আন্দোলনের যে আবেগ একদিন ভারতীয়দের হৃদয় স্পন্দিত করেছিল, আজ তার প্রতিধ্বনি আবার শোনা গেল।”

উল্লেখ্য, এই অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়েই আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে শুরু হয় ‘বন্দে মাতরম’-এর ১৫০তম বর্ষ উদ্‌যাপনের বছরব্যাপী কর্মসূচি, যা চলবে ৭ নভেম্বর ২০২৫ থেকে ৭ নভেম্বর ২০২৬ পর্যন্ত। ভারতের ঐক্য ও অবিচল দেশাত্মবোধের প্রতীক এই গানই আগামী এক বছর ধরে দেশজুড়ে পালন করা হবে নানা রূপে। অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তিতে ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করেন অতিরিক্ত জেলা আয়ুক্ত  অন্তরা সেন।

Way2barak, November 7 : Patriotism swept through Cachar district on Friday morning as the timeless anthem Vande Mataram resonated from schools, government offices, and public institutions in a stirring tribute to the 150th anniversary of India’s national song. The day-long celebration, thoughtfully organised by the District Administration, Cachar, brought together students, teachers, officials, and artists in a moving expression of unity and national pride.

The morning began on an inspiring note as Vande Mataram played through the fixed loudspeaker system of the Regional Office of Information and Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone, Silchar. The familiar strains of the song drifted across town, setting a patriotic tone that carried seamlessly into the district-level commemoration at the Cachar’s District Commissioner’s Office.

Inside the packed conference hall of the DC Office, the main programme unfolded with grace and grandeur. The event was graced by Minister for Food, Public Distribution, Consumer Affairs, Mines & Minerals, and Barak Valley Development Department, Shri Kaushik Rai, Dholai MLA Shri Nihar Ranjan Das; and District Commissioner, Cachar, Shri Mridul Yadav, IAS. Senior administrative officials, government employees, and invited artists lent a distinguished presence to the ceremony.

At precisely 10 a.m., the collective voices of Minister Kaushik Rai, MLA Nihar Ranjan Das, DC Mridul Yadav, and all officers and staff filled the hall with the resonant chorus of “Vande Mataram”. The symbolic moment united everyone present in a powerful display of patriotism. Soon after, the gathering witnessed the live streaming of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on a large LED screen, where his message on the significance of the day struck a deep emotional chord with the audience.

In his keynote address, Minister Kaushik Rai spoke with conviction and pride, calling Vande Mataram “not just a song, but the heartbeat of India’s soul.” Reflecting on its history, he said, “Composed by the legendary Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and first published in Bangadarshan on November 7, 1875, Vande Mataram gave voice to the spirit of nationalism at a time when India yearned for freedom.” He recalled its evolution through Chatterjee’s novel Anandamath, where the song gained revolutionary significance, and noted how it was first performed publicly by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896.

“During our freedom struggle, Vande Mataram became the rallying cry that united millions. It was on the lips of leaders like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bhagat Singh, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose,” the Minister said, “In 1950, under the leadership of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, our Constituent Assembly rightly granted it the status of our National Song, an honour that continues to define our nation’s identity.”

Minister Rai also spoke at length upon the historical debates that once surrounded the song, reminding listeners that “its journey through time mirrors the evolution of India’s democratic spirit, diverse in opinions, yet united in emotion.” lauding the efforts of the District Administration, Cachar, he said, “Today’s observance, with participation from schools, colleges, and public offices, reflects the cultural consciousness that defines Assam and the nation at large. Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, we are witnessing a renaissance of patriotic spirit.” The Minister added.

Adding to the sentiment of the day, Dholai MLA Shri Nihar Ranjan Das spoke of Vande Mataram as “a timeless reminder of our roots and sacrifices.” He said the song continues to inspire every Indian to work with dedication and devotion toward the nation’s growth. “It unites us in purpose and reminds us that love for the motherland transcends all differences,” he said, lauding the efforts of the District Administration for mobilizing such a meaningful celebration.

Earlier, District Commissioner Shri Mridul Yadav, in his address, described the event as “a defining moment that reaffirms Cachar’s collective pride.” He said it was deeply heartening to see school students, teachers, officers, and citizens come together in shared reverence. “The echoes of Vande Mataram today carry the same emotion that once stirred the hearts of India’s freedom fighters. Such initiatives are vital to keep alive the patriotic flame among our youth,” the DC Yadav added.

The event also marked the formal launch of a year-long nationwide commemoration, from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026, celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram, a composition that continues to embody India’s indomitable spirit and unity in diversity.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Additional District Commissioner Smt. Antara Sen, who commended the joint effort of all departments and participants. The proceedings were anchored gracefully by Biplab Biswas. The dignitaries present included Additional District Commissioners,Dr Khalada Sultana Ahamed ACS, Shri Hemanga Nobis, ACS,Assistant Commissioner Shri Phunlalngir Chorei, ACS, Anjali Kumari ACS, and several other officials of the Cachar District Administration.
