Ex-Pak PM Imran Khan injured in assassination attempt
way2barak, Nov.3: Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan was injured in his leg in a firing on Thursday during his ‘real freedom’ rally in Wazirabad. The incident happened at Zafarali Khan Chowk. As per reports, Khan was shot in the leg “three to four” times. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail confirmed this.
Imran Khan, who received injuries in his leg, was rushed to Shaukat Khanum hospital where he’s undergoing a surgery. Senator Faisal Javed, who was injured when a bullet grazed his face, said that a party worker was killed during the attack, while another was severely injured.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a statement condemning the incident and asked authorities to immediately launch an investigation. Khan began his long march on October 28 from Lahore and is expected to reach Islamabad on November 11.
The attacker, who reportedly was carrying an automatic rifle, was immediately overpowered by Imran Khan’s supporters and arrested. He said that said he wanted to kill PTI Chairman Imran Khan because “he was misleading the public.”
