15 found Covid +ve in Assam on Thursday, 10 discharged & active cases 59 in the state

June 16: On Thursday, out of 521 tests, 15 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,24,303. Out of the 15 positive cases detected on Thursday, 11 are from Kamrup Metro, and 01 each from Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhemaji and Kamrup Rural districts. The positivity rate in the state is 2.88 percent. Further, on Thursday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.89 percent. 10 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,256 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 59 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 21 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
