ওয়েটুবরাক, ২৫ জুলাই : কাছাড় পুলিশের গুলিতে জখম হল ড্রাগস কারবারি৷

সোমবার শিলচর ন্যাশনাল হাইওয়ে এলাকায় একটি গাড়িতে তল্লাশি চালিয়ে আড়াই কেজি হেরোইন বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হয় ৷ সঙ্গে মেলে প্রচুর ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেটও৷ গ্রেফতার করা হয় তিন ড্রাগস কারবারিকে৷ পুলিশ সুপার নোমল মাহাত্তা জানান, ধৃতরা হল মনোয়ার হোসেন বড়ভুইয়া, সাদারউদ্দিন ও আনসার আলম৷ তিনজনেরই বাড়ি বিহাড়ায়৷ পরে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে তদন্তের প্রয়োজনে তাদের শিলকুড়ির বাইপাস এলাকায় নিয়ে গেলে গাড়ি থেকে নামাতেই মনোয়ার হোসেন পুলিশকে ধাক্কা দিয়ে পালানোর চেষ্টা করে৷ তখনই পুলিশ তাকে ধরার চেষ্টা করেন৷  দ্রুত করায়ত্ত করার জন্য এক রাউন্ড গুলি ছোঁড়ে৷ পায়ে বিঁধতেই পড়ে যায় মনোয়ার৷ পুলিশ তাকে উদ্ধার করে শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজে নিয়ে যায়৷ সেখানেই সে এখনও চিকিৎসাধীন৷ মনোয়ারই বাজেয়াপ্ত গাড়ির মালিক৷

A drug dealer was injured in Cachar police firing. On Monday, two and a half kg of heroin was seized from a vehicle in the Silchar National Highway area. Lots of Yaba tablets were also seized and three drug dealers were arrested. Superintendent of Police Nomal Mahatta said that the arrested are Manowar Hossain Barabhuia, Sadaruddin and Ansar Alam. All three are from Bihara.

When they were taken to Silcoorie bypass area for interrogation, Manowar Hossain tried to run away by pushing the police while getting out of the van. Then the police tried to catch him and fired a round for a quick grab. Manwar fell down after being shot in the leg. Police rescued him and took him to Silchar Medical College. He is still undergoing treatment there. Manwar is the owner of the impounded vehicle.
