১ নভেম্বর ঃ তিনসুকিয়ার ধলায় জঙ্গিদের গুলিতে ৫ বাঙালির হত্যার খবরের রেশ কাটার আগেই একটি বোমা বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা সংবাদ শিরোণামে উঠে এল। বিস্ফোরণে সাদেক আলি নামে এক ব্যক্তির মৃত্যু হয়েছে। তাছাড়া রফিকুল ইসলাম মীর নামে অন্য একজন আহত হওয়ার খবর পাওয়া গেছে। আসাম ও পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সীমান্তের কোচবিহারের বক্সিরহাট থানার পাচানীপাড়া এলাকায় ঘটনাটি ঘটে।

গ্রামবাসীরা জানান, একটি বাড়িতে মাছ মারার বোমা বানানোর সময় এটি বিস্ফোরণ হয়। তাতেই ওই ব্যক্তি মারা যান। এদিকে, আহত ব্যক্তিকে কোচবিহার হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে। ঘটনার খবর শুনেই দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে পুলিশ। পুরো এলাকা ঘিরে রাখা হয়। তবে তেমন আপত্তিজনক কিছু উদ্ধার হয়নি। এ ঘটনায় এলাকাজুড়ে চাঞ্চল্যের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।

Amidst the incident of killing of 5 Bengalis by the terrorists at Dhola area of Tinsukia, came another big news. It was the news of a bomb blast at Tinsukia.  A man named, Sadek Ali was killed in the blast. Apart from him, another man called Rafikul Islam Mir was also reported to be injured. The incident took place at a place in the Assam-West Bengal border called Pachanipara under Bakshirhat Police Station in Cooch Bihar.

People of the village informed that the blast occurred while bombs were made in a house for catching fish. The injured person was admitted to Cooch Bihar hospital. On being informed, Police reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area. Though nothing much objectionable items were recovered, yet tension mounted in the entire area.
