2 more Covid patients dies at SMCH on Thursday
শিলচর মেডিক্যালে কোভিডে মৃত্যু আরও ২

ওয়েটুবরাক, ২৮ এপ্রিল: করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়ে আজ বৃহস্পতিবার শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে দুইজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে৷ তাঁরা হলেন আশ্রম রোডের অমল দাস এবং আতালবস্তির সন্ধ্যা ভট্টাচার্য৷

শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজের উপাধ্যক্ষ ডা. ভাস্কর গুপ্ত জানিয়েছেন, ৫০ বছরের অমল দাস গত ২৫ এপ্রিল ভ্যালি হসপিটাল থেকে মেডিক্যাল কলেজে ভর্তি হয়েছিলেন৷ তখনই তিনি আশঙ্কাজনক অবস্থায় ছিলেন৷ কোভিডের সঙ্গে ছিল সেপটিক শক, নিউমোনিয়ার মত নানা সমস্যা৷ তাই পরদিনই তাঁকে ভ্যান্টিলেটরে রাখা হয়৷ কিন্তু অমলবাবুর অবস্থার উন্নতি হয়নি৷ আজ বেলা সোয়া একটায় তিনি শেষনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন৷

৮৪ বছরের সন্ধ্যা ভট্টাচার্যকে আজই সকাল ৯টায় মেডিক্যাল কলেজে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছিল৷ ডায়াবেটিক, উচ্চ রক্তচাপ এবং বুক ব্যথায় ভুগছিলেন তিনি৷ অ্যাকিউট করোনারি সিনড্রমও ধরা পড়ে তাঁর৷ চিকিৎসার আগে নিয়ম মেনে রেপিড অ্যান্টিজেন টেস্ট করাতেই ধরা পড়ে তিনি করোনাতেও আক্রান্ত৷ কিন্তু চিকিৎসার সুযোগই মেলেনি৷ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়ার কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যে পৌনে এগারটায় তিনি প্রাণ হারান৷

April 29: With spike in the number of Covid-19 cases, the number of deaths are increasing. On Thursday, Amal Das (50) of Ashram Road, Silchar was admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on 25 April. The patient was from Valley Hospital in a critical state with diagnosis of septic shock, CLD with pneumonia and COVID positivity. The patient was critical at the time of admission and had to be incubated the next day. However, the condition of the patient did not improve and finally, he died at 1.15 PM on 29 April, 2021.

During the day, another patient Sandhya Bhattacharjee (84) of Athal Basti in Cachar was admitted at 9 AM at SMCH. The patient was a diabetic and hypertensive came with chest pain. The patient was diagnosed as Acute coronary syndrome and on admission patient turned out to be RAT positive and was so shifted to Covid ICU as her condition turned out to be very critical. However, the patient suddenly developed cardiac arrest in ICU. CPR and resuscitation was tried, but the patient expired with 45 minutes of arrival at the ICU of SMCH at 10.45 AM on 29 April.
