AOL & SEDO organises eye camp at Barkhola

৬ জানুয়ারিঃ আর্ট অব লিভিং শিলচর ও স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন ‘সেডো’র যৌথ ব্যবস্থাপনায় বড়খলায় এক বিনামূল্যে চক্ষু চিকিৎসা শিবির আয়োজিত হয় রবিবার। সেডো’র কার্যালয়ে এটি শুরু হয় বেলা সাড়ে ৯টা থেকে। সহযোগিতায় ছিল শিলংপট্টির চৌধুরী চক্ষু হাসপাতাল। আর্ট অব লিভিংয়ের জয়দীপ নাথ ও মান্নালাল দাস জানান, শিবিরে ১৩০ জন রোগীর চোখ পরীক্ষা করে ওষুধ বিতরণ করা হয়। এর মধ্যে ৩০ জনকে অস্ত্রোপচারের জন্য ব্যবস্থাপত্র দেওয়া হয়।

ডা: এইচ কে চৌধুরী বিশেষজ্ঞ হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সহায়তা করেন অন্যান্য স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীরা। সোমবার থেকে শিলচর রেডক্রস হাসপাতালে পর্যায়ক্রমে নির্দিষ্ট রোগীদের অস্ত্রোপচার শুরু হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে বলে জানান জয়দীপ নাথরা।

January 6: Art of Living (AOL) Silchar and social organisation SEDO jointly organised a free eye camp at Barkhola on Sunday. The camp was organised at the office of SEDO at 9.30 in the morning. Choudhury Eye Hospital, Shillongpatty also lend their helping hand in the conduct of this free eye camp. Joydip Nath and Mannalal Das informed on behalf of Art of Living that a total of 130 patients got their eyes examined in the camp. They were also given medicines free of cost. Out of them, 30 patients were provided opportunity to get their eyes operated.

Present during the camp were renowned ophthalmologist Dr. H.K. Choudhury who was assisted by other health workers. Joydip Nath informed that the operation of the patients will be done at Silchar Red Cross Hospital from Monday onwards.
