Workshop on Innovative Design Decoration and Skill Development in Women’s College
way2barak, Oct 28: The three-day workshop on Innovative Design Decoration and Skill Development organized by the Malati Shyam Women’s Study Centre ended on Friday on a promising note with student participants displaying their creations- paintings and designs on clay items. The efforts guided by resource person Ms Chandrima Shyam, an acclaimed artist was richly appreciated by the faculty members.
Dr Santanu Das, the Principal lauded the efforts and encouraged the student participants.
Ms Chandrima Shyam expressed her happiness to see the talent among the students and assured her cooperation in the future endeavors by the college.
Dr Sarita Bhattacharjee, Librarian cum coordinator of the Study Centre informed that there are further plans to organize such workshops in much better ways in the coming days for the students to hone their skills. She thanked everyone for their cooperation for successful conduct of the workshop. The student participants showed great eagerness to lean the ways to better their skills in sketching and drawing and gained hands-on experience at the workshop. Dr Devashree Datta, former principal and Mrs Arundhuti Bhattacharjee, former Head Department of English also were present in the workshop.
