কাছাড়ে ভোট হবে ১৪৬১টি কেন্দ্রে
11,93,908 voters of Cachar to vote in 1461 polling stations on 18 April

১২ মার্চ : কাছাড় জেলায় আগামী ১৮ এপ্রিল লোকসভা নির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে কাছাড়ের জেলা নির্বাচন আধিকারিক যে পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করেছেন  সে অনুযায়ী আগামী ১৬ এপ্রিল সকাল আটটা থেকে উধারবন্দের ঝাপিরবন্দ নেট্রিপ থেকে  সোনাই, ধলাই, লক্ষীপুর ও কাটিগড়া বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের ভোটসামগ্রী বন্টন করা হবে l একইভাবে ১৭ এপ্রিল ওই স্থান থেকে সকাল ৮ টায় শিলচর, উধারবন্দ এবং বড়খলা  বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের ভোট সামগ্রী বন্টন করা হবে l

উল্লেখ্য ৯নং শিলচর কেন্দ্রতে মোট ২৫৫টি ভোটগ্রহণ কেন্দ্র স্থাপন করা হবে l অনুরূপভাবে ১০নং সোনাই কেন্দ্রে ২১৯টি কেন্দ্র,  ১১নং ধলাই ( তপশিলি) কেন্দ্রে ২০৬টি, ১২নং উধারবন্দ কেন্দ্রে ১৯৬টি, ১৩নং লক্ষীপুর কেন্দ্রে ১৯২টি,১৪নং বড়খলা কেন্দ্রে ১৭৫টি এবং ১৫নং কাটিগড়া কেন্দ্রে ২১৮টি ভোটকেন্দ্র স্থাপন করে অর্থাৎ কাছাড় জেলায় মোট ১৪৬১টি ভোট গ্রহণ কেন্দ্র স্থাপন করে এই ভোটপর্ব সম্পন্ন করা হবে l

এদিকে,  আসন্ন লোকসভা নির্বাচন উপলক্ষে কাছাড় জেলায় এক্সপেন্ডিচার ও মনিটরিং সেলের নোডাল অফিসার হিসেবে অতিরিক্ত জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট জে আর লালসিমকে নিয়োজিত করেছেন কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক তথা নির্বাচনী আধিকারিক লায়া মাদ্দুরি।

লালসিমকে সহায়তা করবেন অমলেন্দু নাথ এবং শ্রীহরি রাম দাস l এদিকে আদর্শ আচরণবিধি সেলের  দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত আধিকারিক আংশিক পরিবর্তন করে এক নির্দেশে জানিয়েছেন, সোনাইয়ের বিকাশ কলিতা বাপ্পি দাসের স্থানে নির্বাচনের কাজ করবেন l

With the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 knocking at the doors, the district administration of Cachar is also geared up to ensure a smooth election. The prestigious Silchar Lok Sabha seat will go for polls on 18 April this year. A total of 11,93,908 voters of Cachar district would cast their vote in 1461 polling stations to decide the fate of Silchar Lok Sabha seat. The main fight is expected to occur between the Congress and the BJP over here.

The Returning Officer of Cachar has chalked out a detailed plan in this regard. On 16 April, 2019 polling materials will be distributed at Jhapirbandh NATRIP in Udharbond for Sonai, Dholai,akhipur & Katigorah constituencies. On 17 April, poll materials from the same place will be distributed at 8 AM for Silchar, Udharbond and Borkhola constituencies.

There will be 255 polling stations at No.9 Silchar Legislative Assembly Consituency (LAC). In a similar manner, there will be 219 polling booths at No.10 Sonai LAC, 206 polling stations at No.11 Dholai (SC) LAC, 196 polling booths at No.12 Udharbond LAC, 192 polling stations at No.13 Lakhipur LAC, 175 polling booths at No.14 Borkhola constituency and 218 polling stations at No.15 Katigorah constituency. That means at Cachar district, there will be a total of 1461 polling stations.

Meanwhile, Additional District Magistrate J.R. Lalshim has been appointed as the Nodal Officer for Expenditure and Monitoring Cell of the district by the Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Laya Madduri. J.R. Lalshim will be assisted by Amalendu Nath and Srihari Ram Das.

At Cachar, 20 polling stations were identified as very hyper-sensitive or critical where adequate forces would be deployed to conduct a peaceful election. A meeting with all political parties too was convened on Monday evening to notify them of the election’s code of conduct and do’s and don’ts  till 18^th of April,2019. The  last day of filling up of nominations for Silchar Lok Sabha seat is set for 26 March. It was also informed that the newly introduced Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) would be in place in all 1461 polling stations of the district.
