Assam University Lifts Trophy of Inter-College Cricket Tournament 

way2barak, 20 November: Assam University clinched the champion’s title in the 13th Inter-College Cricket Tournament. The final match of the tournament was held on Thursday, where Cachar College faced Assam University as the opponent. In an exciting final, Assam University secured victory by 6 wickets.

The match began on time at the university playground in the presence of supporters from both teams. Cachar College batted first and scored 129 runs, losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing the target, Assam University reached victory within 16 overs. Javad Mazar Bhuiya was declared Man of the Match. Muzammil Hussain received the Best Batsman award, while Javad Mazar Bhuiya also won the Best Bowler award. Pritam Biswas was awarded Man of the Series.

The closing ceremony was graced by Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajib Mohan Pant, Principal of Cachar College Dr. Aprotima Nag and Director of the Sports Board Professor M. Tineswari Devi.
