দুর্ঘটনার মুখে গাড়ি, চোট লাগেনি কমলাক্ষের

২৩ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ অসমে বিরোধী শিবিরের সবচেয়ে সরব বিধায়ক কমলাক্ষ দে পুরকায়স্থের গাড়ি দুর্ঘটনায় পড়ল। তবে তাঁর নিজের বা অন্য কারও কোনও চোট লাগেনি। চালকের বুদ্ধিমত্তায় রক্ষা পেয়ে গিয়েছেন সবাই।

বিধায়কের ঘনিষ্ট সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, বরাক উপত্যকার বাঙালি বিধায়ক কমলাক্ষবাবু বিধানসভার অধিবেশনে যোগ দিতে আজ করিমগঞ্জ থেকে রওয়ানা হয়েছেন। পথে মেঘালয়ের নংপোতে তাঁর গাড়ি নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে রাস্তার রেলিংয়ে ধাক্কা মারে। তাতে তাঁর গাড়ির বাঁদিকের হেডলাইটের সামান্য ক্ষতি হয়। কোনও গাড়ির তেলের ট্যাঙ্ক ফুটো হয়ে রাস্তায় প্রচুর ডিজেল পড়ে থাকাতেই এই বিপত্তি।

তবে বিধায়ক কমলাক্ষ দে পুরকায়স্থের দুর্ঘটনায় পড়ার খবরে বরাক উপত্যকা সহ অসমের বাঙালিপ্রধান এলাকায় উদ্বেগ দেখা দেয়। কারণ এই সময়ে তিনিই এনআরসি ইস্যুতে বাঙালিদের দুর্দশা ঠেকাতে লড়ে যাচ্ছেন। শেষে তাঁর চোট না লাগার কথা জেনে সবাই স্বস্তির শ্বাস ফেলেন। প্রসঙ্গত, সোমবার থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে অসম বিধানসভার অধিবেশন।

One of the most vocal opposition MLA in Assam Legislative Assembly, Kamalakhha Dey Purkaystha’s car met with an accident on Sunday afternoon. However the MLA and his driver were unhurt. They could avert a major mishap due to the skill & expertise of the driver.

A source close to the MLA informed that Congress MLA from North Karimganj, Kamalakhha Dey Purkaystha started for Guwahati from Karimganj in his Toyota Innova to attend the session of the Assembly. On the way, the car skid and hit on the railing. As a result, the headlights of his car broke. Infact the tyres of his car slipped on the diesel splilled on the road from another car. The news of his accident created tension when people across the valley came to know about it.

However it was the skill of the driver for which a major mishap was averted. Kamalakhha reached Guwahati late in the evening. The Assembly session will start from Monday.
