জাগী রোডে স্টান গ্রেনেড ফেটে জখম ২2 injured in stun grenade blast at Jagiroad
১০ নভেম্বরঃ স্টান গ্রেনেড ফেটে জখম হলেন দুই ব্যক্তি। ঘটনা মরিগাঁও জেলার জাগীরোডের ঝরাগাঁওয়ে।
এই ধরনের গ্রেনেডে বিস্ফোরক থাকে না। শুধু শব্দে চমকে দেওয়ার জন্য ওই গ্রেনেড ব্যবহার হয়। তাই গ্রেনেডটির বিস্ফোরণে আহতদের আঘাত গুরুতর নয় বলে হাসপাতাল সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে।
পুলিশ জানায়, এনআরসি ডিউটিতে আসা বিএসএফ জওয়ানদের কাছ থেকে একটি স্টান গ্রেনেড শুক্রবার হারিয়ে গিয়েছিল। শনিবার বিকেল চারটা নাগাদ স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা সুশীল সরকার ও সাগর মণ্ডল গ্রেনেডটি কুড়িয়ে পান। তারা গ্রেনেডের পিন খুলতেই সেটি ফেটে যায়। তাতেই জখম হন সুশীল ও সাগর। গ্রেনেডটি অরবিন্দ কুমার নামে এক জওয়ানের কাছ থেকে হারায় বলে বিএসএফ জানিয়েছে। তাঁরাও বিভাগীয় তদন্ত করছেন।
November 10: At around 4 PM on Saturday, two persons were injured in an incident of stun grenade blast at Jhargaon area of Jagiroad in Assam. The injured Sushil Sarkar (45) and Sagar Mandal (25) were at once rushed to the local hospital.Both of them sustained minor injuries. They were released after giving first aid.
It has been learnt that F/98 BSF which was engaged in NRC duty in the adjacent area lost one stun grenade yesterday. While they were searching for it, one Sushil Sarkar found it lying in an abandoned condition and picked it up. He then removed the safety pin from the grenade and at once the grenade exploded.
Police team reached the spot at once and seized the remnants of the stun grenade. The higher officials of BSF were also informed about this incident by the police. It has been learnt that the stun grenade was issued to Constable Arbind Kumar of F/98 Battalion of BSF. However, the situation is normal and there was no incidence of any further panic in the area.
