Yoga Chetana Mahotsav” of Niramaya Conducted in 510 SS & TC (GREF), Nagatila
"Regular practice of yogic process is the ultimate solution for overall well-being"

Way2barak, June 9 : A special one-day yoga workshop, as part of the “Yoga Chetana Mahotsav” by Silchar Niramaya Yoga Education Institute, was held at Nagatilla GREFF. Officers and personnel of the 510 SS & TC (GREFF) Unit participated in this workshop on Sunday. Shekhar Chakraborty, a member of Governing Council, Niramaya, Director Shatakshi Bhattacharjee, and Chief Co-ordinator, Legacy Person (Niramaya) among others, were present. Each participant received a certificate, and the unit was presented with a memento from Niramaya. Commanding Officer Amit Agarwal also presented an honorary memento to the officials of Niramaya on behalf of GREFF.

Shekhar Chakraborty of Niramaya stated that, both officers and personnel of GREFF remain away from their families for years due to their duties and responsibilities. They don’t hesitate to sacrifice their happiness for public welfare. However, despite everything, they constantly battle with their conscience, leading to continuous mental stress. This condition gradually weakens the body. This is where the importance of regular yoga practice lies, as there is no alternative to yoga for de-stressing and achieving overall well-being. Furthermore, Niramoy also has a separate 30-45 minutes package for those suffering from such problems to find relief.

According to Director Shatakshi Bhattacharjee, Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21st. However, many people are not aware of regular yoga practice throughout the year. Therefore, the Ministry of AYUSH has undertaken many programs, including 100 countdown programs across the country. Some of these events are also state-specific. As a yoga institute recognized by the Yoga Certification Board of the Government of India (Ministry of AYUSH), Niramaya also conducts over a hundred programs each year in Barak Valley and beyond. The sole purpose of all these initiatives is to integrate yoga into daily life, not just as a symbolic one-day event. Only then can we truly benefit from yoga practice.
Commanding Officer Amit Agarwal shared his experience of the entire program. He described the package of practices, which included subtle exercises, asanas, pranayama, and meditation, as exceptional. Amit commented that he plans to continue such workshops and awareness programs regularly in collaboration with Niramaya.

Officials of Niramaya also said that, The “Yoga Chetana Mahotsav” has been ongoing at the institute since March 8th of this year as part of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations, and it will conclude on June 21st.
During this period, Niramaya has pledged to conduct over a hundred yoga-related programs. As part of this initiative, the yoga education institute conducted its 84th program on the 8th day of June in collaboration with 510 SS & TC (GREF).
