Nitin Gadkari arrives, will attend convocation at Assam Univ & unveil statue of Vajpayee

Dec. 25: Union Minister of Road Transport and  Highways,  Nitin Gadkari arrived in Silchar on Friday morning. He was received at Silchar Airport by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Deputy Commissioner Cachar Keerthi Jalli, MP Dr Rajdeep Roy and a host of dignitaries.

As per the schedule, Union Minister Gadkari would attend the 18th convocation at Assam University, Silchar and would deliver the convocation address. He will then unveil the statue of the statue of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a mark of tribute for starting the mega project of East West Corridor. This will be followed by a public meeting at Rongpur, Silchar.
