Silchar Airport gets a facelift with new canopy, 8 counters & 2 self check-in Kiosks

Jan. 15: Silchar Airport has got a facelife with a new canopy outside the Departure Lounge. This canopy was inaugurated on Friday by the Airport Director. Vehicles can now drop the passengers inside the canopy & proceed towards the vehicle parking or City without hindering traffic movement.

Apart from this, the Terminal Building Expansion & Modernisation work at Silchar Airport is under rapid progress. The new Check-in area with 08 counters & 02 self check-in Kiosk has been made operational from Friday. In a social media post, Silchar Airport authority wrote, “We are upgrading and adding amenities for the convenience of the passengers.
