Corona: Any unauthorised meeting will be stopped & penalised

March 17: No new permissions shall be entertained for any public gathering. Awareness campaigns to be run in groups of only 8-10 people with 1 metre minimum distance. It is better to avoid marriages, functions, celebration of festivals, meeting at religious places. All unauthorised meetings will be immediately stopped and penalised. This was posted in the Facebook Page by Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi. DC Keerthi Jalli wrote, “Please help the government help you. Please cooperate. Stay vigilant.”

She further posted another message in social media, where she wrote that all Colleges, Elementary, Secondary schools have been closed upto 29th March in Hailakandi. Please remember that children/young adolescents are excellent carriers of the virus without showing any symptoms. Ensure they are not playing in crowds or unhygienic places. These are not summer holidays. Please don’t go out on family outings. Remain indoors for good of all. Expecting College students to lead by example to protect the district and the nation.
