Apart from the government agencies, many individuals, NGOs, organisations and business houses have come forward to help the poor and needy.
It is in this backdrop that the members of NGO AROH have set out in their venture of giving food to the hungry. On Sunday, AROH got food cooked and made packets of the same. They then set out in the venture of helping the poor. They distributed the food packets among the people at Malini Beel, Shibalik Park and inmates of DEEP Rehabilitation Centre.
The members of AROH distributed these food packets maintaining the principles of ‘social distancing.’ They said, “The tag line of our organisation is– A Ray of Hope. So we try to instill a ray of hope among the vulnerable section of the society. Today, we have distributed cooked food with the same intention. We know that this is not enough, but at the same time we also believe that – small drops of waiter makes an ocean.”
