Amidst pandemic, Assam University notifies exam dates for TDC CBCS & non-CBCS

May 15: Amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Assam University, Silchar has come up with a new academic calendar for Under Graduate (UG) (CBCS & Non-CBCS in Affiliated Colleges). The notification signed by Dr. S. Dutta Roy, Controller of Examinations on 12 May, 2020 came in public domain on 14 May, 2020. The notification stated that the same has been prepared upon the recommendation of the committee constituted by the authority and recommendation of College Principals.

As per the notification, TDC Non-CBCS Even Semester Examinations will begin from 7 July, 2020 and will continue till 25 July, 2020. For appearing in this examination, the students were directed to sumbit forms to their respective colleges by 30 May, 2020. The result for this exam will be declared on 31 August, 2020. Students studying in 6th semester are basically those who falls under this non-CBCS category apart from others who have arrears in the previous semesters.

Further, students of CBCS Even Semester, were asked to fill up the forms from 7 July to 17 July. The examination for TDC CBCS 2nd & 4th semester will be held from 27 July to 12 August. The results of the exam will be declared on 17 August, 2020.

Admission of new students in 1st TDC 1st semester along with registration is to be completed on or before 14 August, 2020. These students will be required to fill up their examination forms for Odd Semester from 20 November, 2020 to 6 December, 2020. The UG TDC Odd Semester examination will commence from 15 December, 2020 and the results will be declared on 9 March, 2021.

The classes for even semester 2021 will commence from 11 January, 2021. These students will fill up their forms for even semester final examinations from 5 April to 20 April. The TDC CBCS Even Semester Examinations, 2021 will commence from 4 May, 2021. The results of this exam will be declared on 15 July, 2021. The classes for Odd Semester, 2021 will commence from 2 August, 2021.
