Amid corona threat, Don Bosco Silchar to continue with exam till 19 March
March 15: Amid corona scare, both the central and state governments have adopted various preventive measures. Assam government has also declared that all govt and private educational institutions shall remain closed from 16 to 29 March. Only ongoing Board/ Council & University examinations will continue as per schedule.
However, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Silchar has decided not to abide by the government notification. They will not shut down their school on 16 March and rather continue with their examination till 19 March.
In this connection, Fr. Nelson Joseph, Principal of Don Bosco School, Silchar issued a message to the parents wherein he wrote, “As we are at the last part of our Final examination, the school will remain open upto 19th March. Exams will be held for all classes as per the routine given earlier.”
The Principal further wrote, “We have come to know that some parents have already planned their programme from 20th March. It is also difficult for the students to remain at home with uncertainty without completing their exams. Keeping these in mind we shall complete our exams by 19th March. The school will remain closed from 19th afternoon onwards. We assure you that we take all preventive measures in the school for the safety of our children. God bless you.”
