15 new COVID-19 positive cases detected in Hailakandi; total tally 842
ADC RK Dam on being tested negative has joined office on Monday
July 27: 15 fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam’s Hailakandi district on Monday, taking the total tally to 842. Health authorities here disclosed that of the 15 positive cases on Monday, nine cases have been detected under Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). 100 swab results turned out to be negative.
Altogether 88 cases have been found positive under RAT so far.
24 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals on Monday, taking the total number of persons released to 687. The number of active cases in the district is currently 153. Additional Deputy Commissioner, RK Dam on being tested negative has joined office on Monday and was accorded a warm reception by Deputy Commissioner, Megh Nidhi Dahal, senior officials and employees of DC’s establishment.
19 persons are undergoing treatment at SK Roy designated COVID Civil Hospital, 23 at SMC&H, 21 at Algapur Model COVID Hospital, 2 HPC’s COVID Care Centre Guest House, 7 at HPC’s Hospital COVID Care Centre, 17 at DIET’s COVID Care Centre, 7 at Model School Girls’ Hostel COVID Care Centre, 47 at Adarsha Vidyalaya COVID Care Centre and 10 under process.
Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Only 37 persons are currently under facility quarantine centres while 6,332 under home quarantine. Of the 14,425 swab samples taken, 11,897 turned out to be negative. Swab results of 806 persons are awaited.
