২৭ জানুয়ারিঃ না, ২৪ ঘণ্টায়ও খোঁজ মেলেনি ৩২ বছরের যুবক মনোজিত দাসের। শনিবার বিকেলে বরাক নদীতে নেমেছিল তারাপুর নিউ কলোনির মনোজিত।

বিকেল ৪টা নাগাদ দুই মহিলার নজরে পড়ে, বাঁচার জন্য আর্তি জানাচ্ছে সে। কিছু ভেবে ওঠার আগেই তাকে তলিয়ে যেতে দেখেন তাঁরা। এলাকার পুর কমিশনার থানায় গিয়ে রিপোর্ট করেন। দ্রুত এসডিআরএফ-কে নদীতে নামানো হলেও তার খোঁজ মেলেনি।

January 27: In a shocking incident, a 32-year old man went missing since Saturday when he got down in River Barak. Since then 24 hours have passed, but still now the youth Manojit Das was untraceable.

It was learnt that on Saturday evening Monojit, a resident of Tarapur New Colony went to river Barak. Around 4 in the afternoon, 2 ladies suddenly noticed a man striving for help in the river. But before they could act, he got drowned. Municpal Commissioner of the locality filed a complaint with the police. SDRF was called in who started their operation. But till now there was no trace of Manojit Das
