৩০ মেঃ মাত্র চারদিন আগে বিয়ের পিড়িতে বসেছিলেন সুগম ট্র্যাভেলসের ম্যানেজার জয়দীপ দে। বৃহস্পতিবার তাকে করিমগঞ্জ শহরের বুকে খুন করে পালাল দুষ্কৃতীরা। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, দা দিয়ে কোপালে ঘটনাস্থলে তার মৃত্যু হয়। কিন্তু হত্যার কারণ জানা যায়নি।

শহরের ঠিক মধ্যস্থলে এমন ঘটনায় এলাকায় চাঞ্চল্য দেখা দিয়েছে। মুহূর্তে কয়েক-শ মানুষ জড়ো হন। পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণের বাইরে চলে যাওয়ার আশঙ্কায় সিআরপি মোতায়েন করা করছে।

May 30: It was just four days ago that Joydeep Dey, Manager of Sugam Travels tied his nuptial knot. On Thursday, he was brutally murdered in the heart of Karimganj town. After striking him multiple times with a machete, the miscreants fled away from the spot leaving Joydeep in a pool of blood. As a result, he died on the spot.

The incident of murder in the centre of the town has sent a chill of horror throughout Karimganj. The news spread far and wide like wild fire. Instantly, crowd started to gather at the spot of the crime. CRPF was called in as a precautionary measure. Investigation into this matter is going on. But initially, police refused to comment on the incident.
