Winter session of Assam Legislative Assembly to be held from 28 November to 6 December

November 17: As per the calendar for the meetings of the winter session of the Assam Legislative Assembly, issued by its Principal Secretary, the inaugural session will be held on 28 November, 2019. The last day of the winter session will be held on 6 December, 2019, which will have government business with discussion to commemorate the 150 years of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi followed by adjournment-sine-die.

The newly elected members will take the oath on the first day of the session, which would be followed by the Question Hour. This would be followed by the Speaker announcing the report of the Business Advisory Committee settling the business for the winter session of the Assembly. This will be followed by the Speaker announcing the names of the members constituting the panel of chairmen under Rule 9(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.
