Weather Forecast: After Durga Puja, rain seems to play spoilsport during Kali Puja too

October 26: Though it rained at late in the night during Durga Asthami, but the Navami night was fully wet with high rainfall in all the three districts of Barak Valley. The same wet weather now appears to prevail even during the ensuing Kali Puja. Last year, that is, in 2018, there was incessant rainfall during the days of Kali Puja.

As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will generally be cloudy sky with heavy rainfall on 26 October, 2019. However, on 27 October, as per IMD forecast, there will generally be cloudy sky with light rain. IMD has made this weather forecast for all the 3 districts of Barak Valley. The intensity of rainfall is likely to drop after Sunday. On 28 and 29 October, there will be some respite as no rainfall has been predicted on these 2 days, but the weather will be generally gloomy.

The IMD has issued an orange level alert for these the states of Assam and Meghalaya. IMD’s orange alert signifies ‘be prepared’ for extreme weather. So during the next 24 hours light to heavy rainfall can be expected over here.
