Water Level of Barak steady at Silchar Annapurna Ghat since 2 AM on Sunday
July 14: Since 6 PM on Saturday water level of river Barak at Annapurna Ghat Silchar was rising by 0.01 meter per hour.

After 2 AM on 14 July, 2019, the water level appeared to have been steady. This has brought in a sigh of relief for many. Sources in the Central Water Commission has revealed that in case there is no further rainfall, than the water level can be expected to be steady during the day.
However, according to skymetweather.com, “Moderate to heavy rain and thunder shower with isolated very heavy and strong gusty winds will occur over Baksa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Karbi Anglong East, Karbi Anglong West, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Nalbari, N.C.Hills, Sivasagar, Sonitpur, South Salmara-Mankachar, Tinsukia and Udalguri districts of Assam during next 24 hours.”
As per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Sunday will generally witness cloudy sky with intermittent rain. On Monday, the weather forecast by IMD for Cachar shows thunderstorm along with rain.
