কলঙ্ক সিনেমা না দেখাতে শিলচরে ফতোয়া
Warning issued against screening of film ‘Kalank’ at Silchar

২০ এপ্রিলঃ ‘কলঙ্ক’ সিনেমা না দেখানোর জন্য পোস্টার পড়েছে শিলচরের সবকটি মাল্টিপ্লেক্স এবং সিনেমা হলের সামনে। এই সময়ে শিলচরে গোলদীঘি মলের আইলেক্স এবং সদরঘাটের গোল্ড-এ সবকটি শোতে এই সিনেমা দেখানো হচ্ছে। ‘কলঙ্ক’ চলছে ওরিয়ন্টাল সিনেমা হলেও। নিজেদের স্যাফ্রন ইন্সারজেন্সি পরিচয় দিয়ে পোস্টারে লিখেছে, ‘কলঙ্ক সিনেমায় কৌশলে লাভ জেহাদেরই কথা বলা হয়েছে। এই শো এখানে দেখানো চলবে না। এই নির্দেশ না মানলে কোনও অঘটন ঘটলে বা ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হলে হলমালিকরাই দায়ী থাকবেন।’

এ বার অবশ্য হল-মালিকরা ঘাবড়ে যাননি। বরং সবাই মিলে সিদ্ধান্ত নেন, শো চলবে যথারীতি। পুলিশকে জানানো হয়েছে। উটকো পোস্টারে  ভয় পাননি দর্শকরাও। পোস্টারের সামনে দিয়েই তাঁরা হলে ঢুকছেন।

আইলেক্স-এর ম্যানেজার সন্তু বর্ধন বলেন, কে কখন কী লিখে লাগিয়ে গেল, তাতে গুরুত্ব দেওয়ার কী আছে। প্রকৃতই কোনও বক্তব্য থাকলে আমাদের সঙ্গে এসে কথা বলত। তাই আমরা সবাই মিলে সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি, সিনেমাটি চালানো হবে। পুলিশকে জানানো হয়েছে। একই কথা বললেন গোল্ড কর্তৃপক্ষও। তাদের কথায়, ভয়ের কিছু নেই। পুলিশ বারবার টহল দিচ্ছে।

‘কলঙ্ক’ সিনেমা নিয়ে অন্যত্র প্রতিবাদ শোনা না গেলেও শিলচরে থ্রেট-পোস্টারিঙের ঘটনায় অনেকে বিস্মিত। সিনেমাপ্রেমীরা ক্ষুব্ধ। কৃশানু ভট্টাচার্য বলেন, ‘কলঙ্ক’ সিনেমায় লাভ জেহাদের কথা কোথায় এলো! সিনেমা নিয়ে এমন পোস্টার বা হুমকি নিন্দনীয় বলেই মন্তব্য করেন তিনি। দীপক সেনগুপ্তের প্রতিক্রিয়া, ‘ফ্যাসিবাদ দোয়ারে দাঁড়িয়ে।’

April 20: Posters were put up in front of all the multiplex and cinema halls of Silchar wherein strict warning was given not to screen the Hindi Feature Film ‘Kalank.’ At present, film ‘Kalank’ is shown in all the shows at Eylex in Goldighi Mall and Gold Cinema at Sadarghat. It is also screened at Oriental Talkies. Identifying themselves as ‘Saffron Insurgency”, it was written in the posters outside the halls that ‘Kalank’ depicts ‘Love Jihad’ and so this movie is no to be screened. It was further threatened that, if their dictates are not obeyed then the cinema hall owners will be responsible for any loss or damage which will take place.

Many such threatenings in the past has led to cancellation of various functions/programmes in this island of peace. However, the cinema hall owners have shown their backbone and have collectively decided to run the shows of ‘Kalank’ as per schedule. Police was also informed about the anonymous threat. Even the cine-goers showed a damn to the threatening and entered the halls ignoring the posters.

Santu Bardhan, Manager of Eylex said, “There lies no reason to give importance to such anonymous posters. If anybody has any objection, they should come openly and discuss it with us. As such, all of us have unitedly decided to continue screening the movie. Police has also been informed.” A similar opinion was also expressed by the management of Gold Cinema. They said that there is nothing to be scared of. Policemen are going around the halls since they have been already informed by us.

Though any protest about the story-line of ‘Kalank’ elsewhere was not noticed, the anonymous posters at Silchar has surprised many. Cine-lovers are on the reverse much irked by such activities of moral policing. Krishanu Bhattacharjee said, “This type of threatening is most unwelcome.” Dipak Sengupta reacted by saying “Fascism is knocking at the doors.”
