২৩ নভেম্বর : শিলচরের বিশিষ্ট বেহালা বাদক পঙ্কজ শীল গুরুতর অসুস্থ হয়ে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। শুক্রবার সন্ধ্যায় মস্তিষ্কে রক্তক্ষরণ হওয়ায় তাঁকে শিলচরের ভ্যালি হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছিল। কিন্তু তাঁর শারীরিক অবস্থা ভাল না থাকায় রাতেই শিলচর থেকে শিলঙের নিগ্রিমস হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হচ্ছে। অসুস্থ পঙ্কজ বাবুর ঘনিষ্ঠ সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এ দিন সন্ধে নাগাদ তিনি যখন নিজের বাড়িতে ছাত্রদের ক্লাস করাচ্ছিলেন তখনই তিনি অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তাঁকে ভ্যালি হাসপাতালের আইসিইউতে ভর্তি করা হয়েছিল। শিলচর শহরের সংস্কৃতি মহল তথা তাঁর পরিচিতজনেরা দ্রুত আরোগ্য কামনা করেছেন।

November 23:Renowned violin artist Pankaj Seal suffered a severe stroke while he was imparting violin to his students at his home on Friday evening at around 5.30. He was immediately rushed to nearby Mediland Nursing Home. From there, Mr. Seal was taken to Valley Hospital where he was admitted in the ICU. CT-scan reports showed traces of bleeding in the brain.  It was after that the doctors over here advised to take him to NEIGRIHMS Shillong for better treatment. As such, he was taken to NEIGRIHMS in a special ambulance in the same night. The news of the illness of Pankaj Seal has cast an atmosphere of gloom in the cultural arena.
