Vice-President Election : Commission  appoints two Observers

way2barak, August 21:  Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed two Officers of the rank of Additional Secretary, Government of India, as Observers for the upcoming Vice-President Election 2025.

Shri Sushil Kumar Lohani, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministryof Panchayati Raj and Shri D. Anandan, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure have been appointed as Observer.

 Shri Nitin Kumar Shivdas Khade, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Land Resources has been placed on thereserve list.

As per the schedule for the Vice-Presidential Election, 2025 notified by the ECI on August 7, 2025, the poll and counting of votes will be held on September 9, 2025.
