Unique musical open air programme on Street Music Eve at Gandhi Bagh on 1 June
May 31: Well, uniqueness in thought, deeds and action is probably what would make the present generation stand out distinctly in the crowd of this world. To think beyond the defined borders and to be one self is perhaps the best way to express one’s creativity. With these and many such similar thoughts, the Independent Music Lovers of Barak Valley has organised an open stage programme for all music and creativity lovers.
The programme has been chalked out to commemorate the birth anniversary of Gautam Chattapadhyay (Moni), one of the harbingers of Bengali Independent Music and Modern Indian Band music. The organisers of this unique open air programme has appealed to the music-loving youth of Silchar to join this venture on the Street Music Eve on 1 June, 2019 near the main gate of Gandhi Bagh at 5.30 PM.
So fasten your seat belts for this unique event. Grab a guitar, ukulele, dotara, bogli etc. anything that can create music and join either as a listener or as a performer. The theme of the eve will be “Non Film Bengali music”. Slots for the performers will be tailored for the participants.
