বনধে বরাকে রেল চলবে না
Trains will not run in Barak during bandh

২ নভেম্বরঃ শনিবার বনধের প্রেক্ষিতে বরাক উপত্যকায় কোনও ট্রেন চালাবে না উত্তর-পূর্ব সীমান্ত রেলওয়ে। শিলচর ও ধর্মনগরের মধ্যে চলাচলকারী কোনও ট্রেন চলবে না।  মহীশাসনের সঙ্গে রেল যোগাযোগও বন্ধ থাকবে। তবে সকাল ৮টায় আগরতলার উদ্দেশে রওয়ানা দেয় যে ট্রেন, তাকে সূচি পিছিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। রেলকর্তাদের নোটিশে বলা হয়েছে, বেলা ১২টায় ওই ট্রেন ছাড়ার প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে রাখতে। পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনায় তা তখন ছাড়া যেতে পারে। একইভাবে গুয়াহাটি থেকে শুক্রবার রাতের ট্রেনটিও শিলচরের পথে যে কোনও জায়গায় বসিয়ে রাখা হতে পারে।

এ দিকে, বিমানযাত্রীদের জন্য জেলা প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে বাসের বন্দোবস্ত খতিয়ে দেখা হয়েছে।

November 2: On Saturday, N.F.Railways will not run any train in Barak Valley in the backdrop of the 12-hour bandh called by different organisations. Trains between Silchar & Dharmanagar will not ply. There will be no rail connectivity with Mahisashan also. However, the Agartala bound train scheduled to leave Silchar at 8 AM has been deferred. In a notice issued by the Railway authorities, it was mentioned that this train may leave at 12 noon depending on the situation. In a similar manner, Silchar bound train originating from Guwahati on Friday night may be halted at any place en-route to Silchar.

Meanwhile, the District administration is exploring ways and means to arrange for a bus for the flight passengers.
