শিলচর, ২২ অক্টোবর: উদ্বাস্তুদের নাগরিকত্ব সংক্রান্ত কেন্দ্রীয় স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রকের নোটিফিকেশন অসমে কার্যকর করার দাবিতে মঙ্গলবার মশাল মিছিল করল হিন্দু সংহতি৷ ক্ষুদিরামের মূর্তির পাদদেশ থেকে মিছিল বের হয়৷ প্রেমতলা হয়ে তা শেষ হয় নরসিংটোলার মাঠে৷

October 22: A huge torch rally was taken out in Silchar on Tuesday evening by Hindu Samhati demanding the speedy implementation of the Joint Notification of 7 September, 2015 (Passport Amendment Order & Foreign Amendment Order) in Assam. Demand was also raised to safeguard the persecuted Hindus from being pushed inside detention camps. The rally started from near the statue of Khudiram & went through the major points of the town. It came to an end at Narshingtola ground.

Later on, candles were lighted in the memory of Dulall Chandra Paul, the recent victim of Detention Camps of Assam. Speaking to newsmen, one of the organisers of the rally said, “The Detention Camps of Assam have developed into modern day killer camps for the Hindus in Hindu majority India under a Hindu nationalist government, which is actually funding for construction of new detention camps !”
