TET results to be declared by December end!

December 6: After a gap of seven years, Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) was held in the state of Assam on 10 November, 2019. This is the first TET examination that had been held in the State after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power. The examination held in 33 districts of the state was appeared by nearly 4 lakh candidates.

The results of the TET, 2019 are expected to be declared by the last week of December. Candidates who will qualify TET will be recruited as teachers for the lower primary and upper primary classes in various government schools across the State. At present, 10,137 posts in the lower primary level and 7,155 posts in the upper primary level are lying vacant.
