Terror strike in ISIS fashion averted in Assam & Delhi, 3 held with explosives
আসামে বিস্ফোরণের ছক ভেস্তে দিল দিল্লি পুলিশ, বিস্ফোরক সহ তিন জঙ্গি গ্রেফতার

২৬ নভেম্বর : অল্পের জন্য বড়সড় বিস্ফোরণের হাত থেকে বাঁচল গোয়ালপাড়ার দুধনৈ-এর রাসমেলা। দিল্লি পুলিশের বিশেষ শাখা আসাম পুলিশের সহযোগিতায় গোয়ালপাড়াতে অভিযান চালিয়ে ইসলামিক সন্ত্রাসবাদী সংগঠন আইসিসের বাংলাদেশি গোষ্ঠীর একটি বিস্ফোরণের প্রচেষ্টা ব্যর্থ করে দিয়েছে। বিস্ফোরণের পরিকল্পনা করা এই দলটির তিন সন্ত্রাসবাদীকে গ্রেফতার করেছে দিল্লি পুলিশ।

প্রাপ্ত খবরে জানা গেছে, এই তিন সন্ত্রাসবাদী দুধনৈয়ে এক রাস উৎসব মেলায় রবিবার একটি আইডি বিস্ফোরণের জন্য নিয়ে যাচ্ছিল। তখনই পুলিশ তাদের গ্রেপ্তার করে। তাদের কাছ থেকে পুলিশ প্রায় এক কিলোগ্রাম বিস্ফোরক ও বিভিন্ন আপত্তিকর সামগ্রী জব্দ করেছে। এর মধ্যে আইইডি তৈরির কিছু সরঞ্জাম, চারটি মোবাইল ফোন ও একটি ছুরি ছিল।

দিল্লি পুলিশের ডেপুটি কমিশনার প্রমোদ সিং কুশওয়া জানিয়েছেন, ধৃত তিন জঙ্গিই আসামের বাসিন্দা। এরা হল, মুক্তাদির ইসলাম, রঞ্জিত আলি ও জামাইত লুইত। এদিকে, এদের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করার সময় পুলিশ জানতে পেরেছে, এই তিন সন্ত্রাসবাদী দিল্লিতে ভয়ঙ্কর নাশকতামূলক কাজকর্ম সংঘটিত করা এবং আসামে পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে এই বিস্ফোরণ ঘটানোর পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করেছিল। সোমবার তাদের আদালতে হাজির করার পর ১২ দিনের জন্য পুলিশ হেফাজতে পাঠানো হয়েছে।

November 25: The timely intervention of police averted a major terror strike at Goalpara in Assam and in Delhi. Three men, believed to be inspired by the Islamic State, have been in a joint operation by Delhi and Assam police from Assam’s Goalpara for planning terror attacks in these two places.

DCP (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah said the men — Ranjeet Islam (24), Mukadir Islam (22) and Luit Zameel Zaman (24) — were arrested a day before they were allegedly going to plant an IED at the Raasmela festival in Dudhnoi, in Assam’s Goalpara district on Monday evening — the last day of the annual 14-day festival — as the footfall is high. These entities appeared to be inspired by Bangladesh Module of ISIS and were also intending to carry out  lone-wolf attacks besides bomb blasts.

Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) have been recovered from the three men who were arrested after a joint operation by the Delhi Police with Assam Police. During initial interrogation of the accused persons, they informed that the recovered IED is complete in all respect and they had planned to connect the battery just before planting the IED at Raas Mela-Dudhnoi, Assam. They further disclosed that they had plans to conduct similar IED blasts in Delhi as well and the intended Assam Blasts were a test run. They  had also gathered IED components for Delhi blasts and the explosive material.
