কেরলের বন্যার্ত মহিলাদের জন্য স্যানিটারি ন্যাপকিন চাইল মহিলা কংগ্রেস। দলের সর্বভারতীয় সভাপতি সাংসদ সুস্মিতা দেব বলেন, অন্যান্য জিনিসের সঙ্গে এই স্যানিটারি ন্যাপকিনেরও খুব প্রয়োজন। তিনি সংগঠনের প্রতিটি রাজ্য শাখাকে চিঠি পাঠিয়ে কেরলের বন্যার্তদের জন্য সাহায্যের আবেদন রেখেছেন। পাশাপাশি বলেছেন, বিভিন্ন ত্রাণ সামগ্রীর সঙ্গে মহিলা কংগ্রেসিরা যেন স্যানিটারি ন্যাপকিনও সংগ্রহ করেন। চাল-ডাল, ওষুধপত্রের সঙ্গে ম্যানস্ট্রুয়াল হাইজিনও যে খুব জরুরি , তিনি তা মহিলা কর্মীদের স্মরণ করিয়ে দেন।

Susmita Dev, in her capacity as the President of All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) appealed to AIMC office bearers and PMC Presidents to put together their resources in order to help the flood affected people of Kerala.

She categorically mentioned that at this hour of crisis, the list of requirement would be long, but menstrual hygiene has been a consistent concern of Mahila Congress. As such, she appealed all her team members to collect and contribute sanitary napkins for the flood affected women and girls of Kerala.
