Suruksha Development Society felicitates prominent artists of ward number 25 in Silchar

June 24: World Music Day was celebrated in a befitting manner in a local banquet hall at Vivekananda Road in Silchar on the initiative of Suruksha Development Society. Prominent artists of ward no. 25 of Silchar Municipality area were felicitated on this occasion. BJP Cachar district President Bimalendu Roy, Nitya Bhushan Dey, APGCL Director Sasankha Sekhar Dhar, State Committee Member, BJP Yuba Marcha Assam state vice-president Jayanta Chakraborty, Silchar Development Authority Chairman Manjul Dev, Representative of MP Silchar Pulak Das and other eminent personalities were present on the occasion.

The artists who were felicitated on this occasion are Shekhar Dev Roy, Maitri Dam, Mita Purkayastha, Rathindra Chakraborty, Sujit Das, Monoranjan Malakar, Birendra Nath and Sudip Deb. At the beginning of the programme, Nilanjan Pal and Mitali Das sang a duet Rabindra Sangeet.  The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mitali Das on behalf of Suruksha Development Society.
