Suro Bharati Sangeet Kala Kendra to hold International Art Exhibition at Silchar from 19 June

June 18: An “International Art Exhibition” will be organised by Suro Bharati Sangeet Kala Kendra (an organisation of Music & Fine Arts education), Kolkata at Gallery Hue, Hospital Road, Silchar. The exhibition will begin on 19 June and will continue till 21 June, 2019. Eminent artists, the doyen of modern art from Bangladesh will embellish the exhibition. Further, art teachers from Assam, Tripura and guest artists from different states of the country are scheduled to take part in this unique competition.

Renowned artists will be dwelling upon the paraphernalia of perennial art in this International Art Exhibition. The opening ceremony of the said exhibition will take place on 19 June at 3 PM at the Hue Gallery, Silchar. Artists of repute who will be participating in the exhibition are Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha (Silchar), Prasenjit Banik (Hailakandi), Kishan Bagdi (Cachar), Subhadeep Deb (Agartala), Mithun Chakraborty (Karimganj), Bishal Dhar (Dharmanagar), Dr. Junmoni Bora (Hojai), Avhijit Saha (Tripura), Sandip Nath (Tezpur), Sanu Paul (Tezpur), Subhashish Dutta and Biprapratim Bhattacharjee (Silchar).

Apart from them, artists from Bangladesh who will attend this International Art Festival at Silchar includes Nurun Kahan Kazi (Dhaka, Bangladesh), Rukhsana Saida Poppy (Dhaka, Bangladesh), Arabinda Das Gupta (Sylhet, Bangladesh) and Samsul Basit Shero (Sylhet, Bangladesh).

The invited guest artists who will attend the exhibition are Monika Paul (Silchar), Dr. Pinak Pani Nath (Jaipur, Rajasthan), Joydeep Bhattacharjee (Silchar), Binoy Paul (Silchar), Manas Bhattacharjee (Karimganj), Gautam Chakraborty (Karimganj), Prasenjit Dey (Hojai), Sagar Roy (Hojai), Luftur Rahaman Laskar (Silchar), Ratnadeep Paul (Silchar), Rajashri Dutta Choudhury (Silchar), Anirban Dhar (Dehradun), Deepti Tripathi Rana (Bareilly) and Dheeraj Yadav (Prayagraj).

Further, at 3 PM on 20 June, 2019, the convocation for the year 2017-18 for Barak Valley region will also be held by Suro Bharati Sangeet Kala Kendra at Hue Gallery, Silchar. The convocation ceremony will be graced by Prof. Niranjan Roy-Dean, School of Economics & Commerce of Assam University, Silchar, Dr. Nirmal Kanti Roy-Associate Professor, Department of Visual Art of the same varsity, Dr. Ganesh Nandi, Assistant Professor of the same department, Subimal Bhattacharjee-Founder Jookto, New Delhi, Gautam Chakraborty-General Secretary, Sammilito Sanskritik Jot, Sylhet Bangladesh, Samsul Alam Salim-Central Committee Member, Sammilito Sanskritik Jot, Sylhet Bangladesh and Samsul Basit Sero, Visual Artist, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
