Summer Session of Assam Legislative Assembly to commence from 18 July

July 10: The Summer Session of the 14^th Assam Legislative Assembly will begin on 18 July, 2019. Whereas, 25 July, 2019 will be the last day of the  Assembly session. On the first day of the assembly session, the Question Hour will be followed by the Speaker announcing the Report of the Business Advisory Committee. The motion of election of Members to various Government Committees, Boards etc, will also take place on this day.

The Question Hour on the next day, that is, 19 July will be followed by Private Members Business including bills, resolutions, special motion and motion, if any. July 20th-21st, 2019, will be recess and holiday respectively. On July 22nd, 2019, Government Business will take place. The Question Hour will be followed by voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants and Supplementary Appropriation for 2019-20. Introduction, consideration and passing of the Assam Appropriation (No. III) Bill, 2019 along with the introduction of Government Bills (if any) will also take place.

Election of Deputy Speaker and Private Members Business will take place on 23 July. Government Business will take place with consideration and passing of Government Bills on 24 July. The Summer Session of the 14^th Assam Legislative Assembly will come to an end on 25 July, 2019.
