২৮ জানুয়ারিঃ নাচতে নাচতে মঞ্চেই প্রাণ গেল কিশোরের। ঘটনা দুধপাতিল গ্রামে। প্রজাতন্ত্র দিবস উপলক্ষে রবিবার দিনরাতের অনুষ্ঠান ছিল দুধপাতিলে। সন্ধ্যার পরে নাচের জন্য ডাকা হয় এলাকারই ১৫ বছরের কিশোর অভিষেক নাথকে।  সুন্দর নাচছিল। আচমকা মঞ্চেই পড়ে যায়।

দর্শক-আয়োজকরা একে নৃত্যেরই অংশ বলে মনে করছিলেন। সহশিল্পী ভাবছিল, বিশেষ কিছু প্রদর্শন করতে চাইছে অভিষেক। কিন্তু পরে যখন ওঠার চেষ্টা করেও পারছিল না, ভুল ভাঙে সবার। দৌড়ে মঞ্চ থেকে নামিয়ে আনা হয় তাকে। দ্রুত নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় হাসপাতালে। ডাক্তাররা মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন। এই ঘটনায় এলাকা জুড়ে শোক নেমে আসে।

January 28: Strange but true! A boy lost his life while dancing on the stage. The incident took place at Dudpatil village in Cachar district. A whole day function was organised at Dudpatil on the occasion of Republic Day on Sunday. In the evening, 15 year old Abhishek Nath, a teenager of the locality was called to perform on stage. He was dancing well. But all of a sudden, he collapsed on the stage.

The organisers and the audience thought it to be a part of the dance performance. His co-artist thought that Abhishek was trying to perform something special. But when he was trying trying but unable to get up, people realised that something was wrong. He was carried down from the stage and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors declared him dead. The incident has deeply saddened the people of the locality.
