Sports Magazine ‘Khelar Samay’ released

১৫ অক্টোবরঃ প্রকাশিত হল ক্রীড়া ম্যাগাজিন ‘খেলার সময়’-এর শারদ সংখ্যা। রবিবার সন্ধ্যায় জেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার অফিসগৃহে এর প্রচ্ছদ উন্মোচন করেন দৈনিক যুগশঙ্খের কার্যবাহী সঞ্চালক নীলোতপল চৌধুরী।সঙ্গে ছিলেন বিএসএলএল-এর এসডিই শঙ্কর দাস, বরাক উপত্যকা ক্রীড়া সাংবাদিক সংস্থার সভাপতি রীতেন ভট্টাচার্য, জেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার সহ-সচিব চন্দন শর্মা, ম্যাগাজিনটির সম্পাদক তাজউদ্দিন প্রমুখ।

সংক্ষিপ্ত অনুষ্ঠানে উন্মোচক নীলোতপলবাবু বলেন, এই অঞ্চলে একটি ক্রীড়া ম্যাগাজিনের খুব দরকার ছিল। খেলার সময় সেই অভাব পূরণ করে চলেছে। সাংবাদিক তথা ক্রীড়া সংগঠক প্রণবানন্দ দাশ ম্যাগাজিনটির উচ্ছ্বসিত প্রশংসা করেন। পরামর্শ দেন, বাণিজ্যিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিতে একে প্রকাশের জন্য। সত্যজিত দে, শম্ভু চৌধুরী, মাসুম আহমেদ, উত্তমকুমার সাহা, সায়ন বিশ্বাস, কিংকর দাস প্রমুখ অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

স্প্রিন্ট কুইন হিমা দাসই এই শারদ সংখ্যার প্রচ্ছদ বিষয়। তাঁকে নিয়ে লিখেছেন পিনাক দত্ত, প্রণবানন্দ দাশ, শঙ্কর দাস ও নির্মল ভট্টাচার্য। সদ্যপ্রয়াত দুই ক্রীড়াব্যক্তিত্ব পরিতোষ চন্দ এবং সমরেন্দ্র ভট্টাচার্যকেও বইতে তুলে আনা হয়েছে। প্রয়াত পরিতোষ চন্দের আত্মকথা এবং সমরেন্দ্র ভট্টাচার্যের নিজের হাতে লেখা শেষ নিবন্ধ। এ ছাড়াও লিখেছেন মনমোহন মিশ্র, বাসব রায়, সঞ্জয় সরকার, দ্বিজেন্দ্রলাল দাস, রিতেন ভট্টাচার্য, অভিজিত পাল প্রমুখ।

October 15: The Puja issue of the sports magazine ‘Khelar Samay’ was released on Sunday evening in the office of the District Sports Association, Silchar. The magazine was released by Executive Director of Dainik Jugasankha Nilotpol Choudhury. He was accompanied by Shankar Das, SDE of BSNL, Riten Bhattacharjee of BUKSS, Assistant Secretary of DSA Chandan Sharma, Magazine Editor Taz uddin and others.

Speaking during the occasion, Nilotpol Choudhury said that there was a dire necessity of a sports magazine in this region. Journalist and sports organizer Pranabananda Das praised the magazine and advised to publish it keeping in mind the commercial aspect. Present during this magazine release programme were Satyajit Dey, Sambhu Choudhury, Masoom Ahmed, Uttam Kumar Saha, Sayan Biswas, Kinkar Das among others.

The cover of the magazine adorned the portrait of Sprint Queen Hima Das. The article on her was written by Pinak Dutta, Pranabananda Das, Shankar Das and Nirmal Bhattacharjee. A write up by the recently deceased sports personality Samarendra Bhattacharjee also found its place in the magazine. There was also an article on recently expired sports organizer Paritosh Chanda. Apart from these, articles by Manmohan Mishra, Basab Roy, Sanjoy Sarkar, Dwijendralal Das, Riten Bhattacharjee, Abhijit Paul and others also featured in ‘Khelar Samay.
