Social media posts are under police scanner

January 02: Guwahati Police Commissioner Munna Prasad Gupta urged the people to use social media in a responsible way. In a press meet held on Thursday, he informed that the police has collected multiple evidences of violence that occured in Guwahati during the anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) stir. He reiterated that strict action will be taken against those posting anything inflammatory or provocative in social media.
