Sale items to be confiscated if displayed outside shops: SMB

May 18: Display of sale items outside shop premises are illegal and an impediment to social distancing in market areas. Hence, Silchar Municipal Board (SMB) has decided to confiscate all the sale items which are displayed outside the shop premises within the Silchar Municipal Area. Dedicated task forces will be created to execute the order. The order issued by Sumit Sattawan, Executive Officer of SMB on 16 May, 2020 further stated that the order will come into force with immediate effect throughout the Silchar Municipal Board area.
