Section 144 imposed in Cachar, Magistrates deputed to maintain peace during Holi
March 8: Section 144 has been imposed in the entire district of Cachar in the backdrop of the ensuing Holi festival. Cachar District Administration has imposed Section 144 in order to maintain peace and tranquility in the district.
In a notification issued by Sumit Sattavan, Additional District Magistrate, Cachar, it was stated playing Holi with chemical colours is hereby banned. Further, ban was imposed on playing holi on streets. The order will be prevalent on 9 & 10 March, 2020.
For smooth and peaceful celebration of ensuing Dol jatra and holi District Administration Cachar has deputed magistrates in the entire District. D. Gogoi, ACS, Circle Officer having mobile number 9707430898 and executive magistrate will be in charge of Sonai, Kachudaram and Dholai police station areas.
Kimneinem Changsen ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Cachar and executive magistrate with mobile number 9127365575 will look after Sadar police station areas. Jayanta chakrabarty ALRS , Circle Officer, Udharbondh and executive magistrate with mobile number 8474848845 will look after Udharbondh and Borkhola police station areas.
Bikash chetri, ALRS i/c circle officer, Katigorah and executive magistrate with mobile number 9365022573 will look after Katigorah police station areas.
